I am proposing to publish another two books on Warwickshire aviation covering the years up to and including WWI followed by another covering WWII to around the 1970s. While I have gathered a fair amount of material I’m always on the lookout for new information.

UP TO 1919

I am looking for any material on early balloon flights, pioneer pilots such as Hucks, Hamel, Manton, and Willows, plus any others visiting the district. WW1 photographs or logbook details from Castle Bromwich, Radford, Billeseley or Lilbourne would be of particular interest or any accident details would also be most welcome. Early details of the Midland Aero Club and the Birmingham Aero Club would also be welcome.

1939 TO 1970

Any photographs taken during WWII, logbook details, crash sites or airfield plans are of interest. There were many aero clubs in the area including: Midland A/C, Coventry A/C, Warwickshire A/C, and any details of the aircraft they operated, chief instructors or anecdotes would be gratefully received. Also there were lots of charter companies such as Patrick Duval, Yellow Air Taxis, and Mid-Fly and any details of these are much sought after.
